Bagudu attends funeral prayer of former Commissioner, Alh. Garba Dandiga, condoles the Family

Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has attended the funeral prayer of late Hon. Alhaji Garba Dandiga, the former Commissioner for Agriculture who died on Tuesday, 3rd of November, 2021, from a protracted illness at Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre, Abuja.

The funeral prayer held at Filin Yar Tsakkuwa in Jega was well attended by Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, representing Kebbi Central, the Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sani Abubakar Lolo, members of Kebbi State House of Assembly, top government personalities such as the SSG, Babale Umar Yauri, the Head of Service, Sufyan Garba Bena, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, Special Advisers, Politicians, Religious leaders and Traditional rulers including the Sarkin Kabin Jega, Alhaji Muhammadu Bawa Arzika as well as thousands of sympathisers.

After the funeral rites, Governor Bagudu prayed Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus and his family the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Special prayers were held for the repose of the soul of the deceased at his residence in Ni’ima area, Jega.

Until his death , late Hon. Garba Dandiga, was the former Commissioner for Works and Finance under the regime of the first civilian administration of Alhaji Abubakar Musa ,Garkuwan Yauri and Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, respectively.

He served as the Commissioner for Agriculture, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under the administration of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu .

The deceased , who is the Father of the incumbent Commissioner for Animal Health and Fisheries, Hon. Aminu Garba Dandiga, was a seasoned and grassroots politician and administrator.

He has also served as the Chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area and he was the Kebbi State Gubernatorial Candidate of the defunct United Nigeria Congress Party ( UNCP) in 1997.

Aged 61, the deceased is survived by two wives , eleven children and four grand children.
