Gombe @ 25: Governor Inuwa, Emir of Gombe, Others Attend Special Juma’at Prayer

As part of activities to mark the 25th Anniversary of Gombe State, earlier today, Muslims converged on the Bubayero Central Mosque, Gombe to offer special prayers for continued peace and sustainable growth and development of the State and Nigeria in general.

Imam Hammari led the special prayer session, after the two Raka’at congregational prayer, with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya ( Dan Majen Gombe), Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Dr Abubakar Shehu Abubakar, Chief of Staff, Government House, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, former Deputy Soeaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Babangida Nguroje, Commissioners, Special Advisers and other eminent personalities and top government functionaries in attendance.

In his sermon before the congregational prayer, Imam Hammari eulogised the stewardship of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and prayed Almighty Allah to continue to guide him as he steers the affairs of Gombe State and makes decisions that will impact on the lives of the citizenry.

He also admonished the ummah to imbibe the culture of praying for their leaders always to seek divine intervention from Allah to guide them overcome the myriad of challenges facing the nation.

Special prayers were also offered for the founding fathers of the state, both who are alive and those who have passed away.
