Group charges youth on entrepreneurship, economic self reliance

Nigerian Youths have been challenged to carefully use their talents to improve their economic status and that of the country.

A resource person at the two day workshop organised by International Institute of Islamic Thought Kano in collaboration with Jama’atul Nasril Islam Bauchi, Malam Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido gave the challenge while delivering his paper with the title’Muslims and the Nigerian social economic, Realities.

Our correspondent Sani Adamu Musa report that the event took place at Bauchi central mosque.

According to him, Malam Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido said the youth of the country should wake up and focus on how to establish themselves rather to continue depending on government employment, which according to him the attitude bring setback.

He told the gathering that, is no the responsibility of of the government to secure job to all rather to provide a conducive atmosphere to those who wants to achieved in life.

Abdullahi Lamido who is the Director training of the institute, called on the parents to inculcate displicine approach to their wards by showing them the importance of dedication ,positive thinking among others to guarantee their future .

In his paper presentation, with a topic “Youths, Entrenurship and self reliance, Dr Abubakar Sadik Usman of Gombe state university, revealed that over 20 million Nigerian youth are in poverty cycle.

In their separate remarks, Dr Ibrahim Adam Disina and State secretary of Jama’atul Nasril Islam, Engr Ahmad Jumba applauded the efforts of the organisers and described it as timely .

They both called on participants to properly utilize the opportunity to brighter their future .

Speaking on behalf of participant, Rabiatu Muhd Ahmad expressed delight for the workshop and promised to make good of knowledge they gained.
