Jos Killings: INEC suspends Voters registration exercise

Following the security breaches in some parts of Jos metropolis leading to the killings of innocent travelers on Rukuba road in Jos north local government of Plateau state, the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC has suspended the ongoing continue voter’s registration exercise in five local government areas of the state.

This was contained in a signed statement by Caroline Okpe, INEC administrative secretary, on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commission, says it has suspended the ongoing continuous Voters registration in Barikin Ladi,Bassa,Jos East, Jos North and Riyom local councils until further notice.

Caroline Okpe maintained that the suspension was due to the curfew imposed by the state government.
