Bauchi govt donates operational vehicle to SON.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State, Thursday received in audience, the Director General, Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Faruk Salim alongside officials of the organization.

The Governor, who was highly delighted to receive the SON, described their visit as auspicious.

He thanked the DG for deepening monitoring and evaluation mechanism by visiting offices under him, calling on him to keep it up.

Governor Bala then assured the SON that his administration will continue to work with the organization to ensure products are produced according to standard.

He appealed to private sector to support small and medium enterprises not only in Bauchi, but in the entire North East for poverty reduction and unemployment.

Governor Bala at the meeting approved a brand new operational vehicle to the Bauchi SON for effective discharge of their responsibility.

Earlier, the Director General of SON, Faruk Salim said the visit to Governor Bala was to thank him for providing land for construction of the organization’s Bauchi office.

He expressed gratitude to the Governor for finding the SON worthy of donation of operational vehicle.
