Jigawa gov donates over 20 Million Naira to victims of Kebbi boat mishap.

The Jigawa State Governor, Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, has commiserated with the government and people of Kebbi state on the recent boat mishap at Warrah, Ngaski Local Government.

Governor Badaru, described the incident as tragic and sympathetic, praying Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and the families fortitude to bear the loss.

He told Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu that he was outside the country as at the time of the mishap and although he condoled with him on phone, it was worthwhile for him to come to Birnin Kebbi to condole with the people of the state in person.

Governor Badaru, commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for striving to ensure water transportation has become safer into the sector.

Governor Badaru on behalf of the Government and People of Jigawa state gave a donation of twenty five million naira for the victim.

In response, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu thanked Governor Badaru for the sympathy visit, and expressed sincere gratitude to his Jigawa state counterpart for the visit and huge financial support to the families of the victims.

He requested relevant authorities to enforce safety rules and measure on marine transportation to guard against future recurrence.
