Governor Bagudu enjoines Youth to refrain from Drug and embrace Gold mining opportunity

Kebbi State Governor Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu says youths development and empowerment programme introduced by Federal and State Governments have energized youths to becoming active and productive members of the society.

The Governor made this remark at Ramadan Breakfast he hosted for Heads of Federal and State establishments at Government House Birnin Kebbi this Monday.

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu preached to youths to refrain from drug addiction and other acts of criminality but engage in useful ventures, saying Nigeria and Kebbi State have been blessed with abundant natural resources, which should be exploited such as Federal Government’s Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative.

He urged people to sustain prayers for God’s guidance to followers towards overcoming prevailing trial and tribulation faced by the nation.

He cautioned people about the necessity to observe Covid-19 protocols including vaccination saying the pandemic has not yet been conquered.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu thanked the Resident Electoral Commissioner INEC, Kebbi State Alhaji Ahmed Bello Mahmud, Dr. Haliru Bala of National Population Commission, Judges, Khadis, Commissioners, House of Assembly Members, Chief of Staff, Permanent Secretaries, Special Advisers, the Auditor-General of the State Faruku Ahmed Rufa’i and Chairman SUBEB Professor Suleiman Khalid for accepting to attend the Ramadan Iftar.

In response, the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mohammed Mahmud Warah who speak on behalf of other invitees expressed gratitude for the honour done to them by the Governor for hosting them to such significant religious function of Ramadan breakfast.
