A Former Federal lawmaker and a Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara Hon. Abdul Malik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has described the recent petition filed against Zamfara former Governor Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar and other APC members by Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi as mischievous and deliberate attempt to fool Governor Bello Matawalle.

He stated this in an interview with Journalists while reacting to the Wamban Shinkafi petition which he discribed it as laughable that, the same Shinkafi who called the seating Governor names during the 2015 general elections, now coming in the public to tell the other site of the story simply because he has turn his political attitude in to a money making venture.

Hon. Abdul Malik said the same Wamban Shinkafi went to public and called Governor Matawalle a “thief” via video that went viral during 2019 campaign accusing him of diverting funds meant for procurement of weapons, and yet he is now telling a different story about Matawalle and insulting others just to please the Governor over what he has done to him in the past.

“In that same viral video Wambai threatened to drag EFCC to court if it has failed to probe Governor Matawalle for corruption, and yet he has turned his eyes toward Abdulazeez Yari the former Governor”.

“Same Sani Shinkafi accused Matawalle of not having genuine SSCE result and embarrassed the Governor before the whole world, yet Matawalle is politically romanced with him”.

“Unless he is able to tell the public what has change over his description of Matawalle as a “thief” in the same viral video nobody would take him serious”.

The Zannan Bungudu warned Governor Matawalle to be extra careful as the same Shinkafi would continue to hit him with political hammer after he leaves office because it is his political attitude and his own ways of making money by insulting and reigning abusive words and raising baseless allegations against personalities who had been to power.

According to Hon.Abdul Malik everybody knows that Wamban Shinkafi is against the former Governor because he has refused to open the state treasury for him. It is his political strategies to always allow himself to be used by political stooges in blackmailing prominent sons of Zamfara State and former Governor Yari who choose not to go that way and the Wambai took offensive of that and continue blackmailing Abdulazeez Yari left, right and center.

“The baseless allegations he is mentioning figures that common sense cannot reason, this is the same person who accused former Governor Yari of mismanaging N900 billion in eight years. How much has Zamfara State collected from federation account and other sources all together?” Zanna asked.

” When he address Press Conference in Shinkafi where he accused some APC members of attempting to induce bandits with 57 million naira in order to prevent them from releasing Jangebe abducted girls but when asked by the state Chairman of the APC Lawal Lima on channels TV to probe his allegations by mentioning names, he became embarrassed and started beating around the bush” Zanna added.

Hon. Abdul Malik said the actions of Sani Shinkafi has shown that he is politically incapacitated and has no relevance since in the history after the return of politics in 1999 Shinkafi has never won his poling unit in APGA the party he has been contesting for and challenged Sani Shinkafi to probe him wrong.

Zanna added that in the just concluded bye election in Bakura APGA scored a total 26 votes noting that if not Matawallen Maradun who would take Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi as a serious politician .
