On Saturday, 3rd April, 2021, the Honourable Minister of Environment, Dr. Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, Emir of Zazzau, at the Zazzau Emirate Palace, Zaria.The Minister was accompanied by some of his aides and numerous well wishers.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Abubakar said,
“This is a homecoming for me because the Zazzau Emirate is my ancestral home. Your Highness, Zazzau Emirate, is a centre of excellence in culture and education, and it will continue to be a beacon of hope among emirates.”
He explained that he was in Zaria to once again congratulate the Emir on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers and to appreciate him for his fatherly role.
The Minister thanked the Emir and the people of the Zazzau Emirate for the warm reception accorded to him and prayed for a continued relationship.
In his remarks, the Emir of Zazzau commended Dr. Abubakar for the successes recorded since his appointment as a minister by President Buhari. He urged other top government functionaries to emulate Dr. Abubakar’s laudable initiatives towards human capital development.
