Sport Writers Association of Nigeria(SWAN) Bauchi state chapter has directed all it members to boycott reporting all activities of Wikki Tourist football club of Bauchi.

This was contained in a signed statement made available to newsmen by SWAN Bauchi state chapter.

The secretary of the association, Bala Bawaji said the union took the decision following unending disregard for sport journalists in Bauchi by the club.

He maintained that when ever the Bauchi based team is playing its home matches, sport journalists faced different problems, which hinder their members from carrying the legitimate duties assigned to them.

Therefore, the leadership of the sports writers association has directed all it’s members to boycott reporting all activities of the Wikki Tourist football club, with immediate effect, until discussions are held with the management of the club towards finding lasting solutions to the lingering problems, the statement said.
