There is no doubt that former Governor Isah Yuguda of Bauchi state is a household name not only in Bauchi but in the Nigerian politics, going by his immense contributions to the development of the country.

I am compelled to bare my mind on why the former Governor who is also a bonafide good son of Bauchi South Senatorial District should be voted as senator in the 2023 general election,

Alhough I am not a politician but a citizen of the zone who benefitted from the laudable developmental projects executed when he served as Governor for eight years, it is incumbent on us to vote him as the senator for our zone if at all we want purposeful representation.

No one need to be reminded in Bauchi state that hundreds of Schools were also constructed, some hundreds rehabilitated during Yuguda’s time.

The performance of the former Governor are visible for all to see and be convinced that if he is given the mandate to represent the good people of Bauchi south at the red chamber, he will without any iota of doubt bring federal government presence to not only his area but Bauchi state as a whole.

It is no doubt that since the demise of the late senator Ali Wakili, many people clamoured for Malam Dr. Isah Yuguda to replaced him but as God made it, he didn’t succeed during the bye election that produced the current occupier of the seat.

Bet me, the former Governor will win overwhelmingly if he contest, because the electorate have woken up from their slumber to remember the visible infrastructural facilities put on ground during his eight fruitful years.

The ex Governor who had served as minister for years before becoming the Governor left an indelible mark when he constructed roads across 20 local government areas of the state with a view to closing the deficit in the area of infrastructure.

Let me remind us that it was during Yuguda’s reign that rural electrification was also prioritized as well as bringing the the Teaching hospital we are all benefitting from it today.

Also, Dr. Yuguda had ensured that, after allocating the then specialists hospital to the federal government for the teaching hospital, a new modern specialists hospital was constructed with all state of the earth facilities in it.

While calling on the well meaning citizens of Bauchi south to make the election of Malam Isah Yuguda into the senate seat come 2021, they should therefore, not be hoodwink by those who will make empty promises to them during electioneering.

Let me not forget the international airport His Excellency, Dr. Isah Yuguda brought to the state. It has help in no small measure in opening up the state to the international community in addition to his laudable initiatives that propelled the state to where it was before his predecessor, Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar came to power.

Although, there are other politicians that might be eying the seat, Yuguda stand a better chance to beat them all.

By Usman Abdullahi Koli Greatness is never loud. It does not announce itself with drums or decorate its path with banners. It builds, it gives, it heals, and it walks away quietly, leaving only the sound of impact behind. This is the spirit carried by the Wunti Alkhair Foundation, a vision founded and driven by […]

Someone hears the unheard cries and decides to act. Not for praise. Not for politics. Just for people. That is how the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation was born […]

By Usman Abdullahi Koli, ANIPR It is difficult to put into words the story of a man whose life was not just lived but felt deeply, genuinely, and profoundly. It’s over now, the last file signed, the final handshake exchanged, the door gently closed behind a man whose entire life has been anything but ordinary. […]
