The Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar says Nigeria must go digital in all its activities to compete with other countries at the global level.

A signed statement by Auwal D Sankara,
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, said Governor Badaru made the statement at the Virtual Commissioning of Digital Capacity Development Program for digital Economy (Batch 4).

According to him, with the rapid development in information technology, everything is inevitably becoming digital and Nigerians are to some extent left behind.

However, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar commended the efforts of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isah Ali Pantami in adopting a radical method of digitalizing Nigeria and Nigerians.

He said, “in Jigawa alone, many farmers from the 27 local governments have been trained and equipped with digital and scientific method of farming which the state has begun reaping the benefits“.

“I do keep quiet about what the Minister has done for us in Jigawa state because I don’t want to make other governors jealous, but later I realize that what he has been doing in Jigawa is the same every where. This is remarkable” the Governor added.
