Governor Zulum commissions central mosque, 50-bed healthcare centre in Biu

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum on Friday commissioned Biu Central Mosque in the southern part of Borno State.

The Biu Mosque project was started in January 2020 during the Governor’s tour to Biu Local Government Area.

After the commissioning, thousands of Muslim faithfuls joined the Governor, his Deputy, Umar Usman Kadafur, and the Emir of Biu, Mai Mustapha Umar Mustapha II to pray two rak’at Juma’at prayer.

The Governor also commissioned a Primary Healthcare Centre in Buratai, a community also in Biu Local Government Area.

The 50-bed capacity Primary Health Centre is to provide healthcare needs of the increasing population in Buratai.

The Governor also inspected the work progress of the ongoing construction of Buratai mega school.
