Kebbi Governor lauds LGA chairmen, urged them to do more in 2021

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has commended Local Government Chairmen in Kebbi state for doing a great job in their respective areas.

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was speaking this Tuesday at a meeting with Local Government Chairmen at the Council Chamber Government House, Birnin Kebbi.

He used the opportunity to congratulate the chairman of Argungu Local Government Alhaji Musa Muhammad Tungulawa as 1st Sarkin Tudun Kabi and that of Dandi Alhaji Garba Salihu Kamba as 1st Gatan Kabi for being turbaned traditional title holders by the Emir of Argungu Sarkin Kabin Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera in recognition of their services to the people.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu prayed God to usher in economic prosperity, peace and security to the state and the nation.

He described the preceded year, 2020 as a challenging year, praying that 2021 would be the most beneficial to humanity.

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who presided the meeting with local government chairmen, said it was the first of its kind in 2021 to take stock of prevailing situation in the state.

The governor informed them that the Special Adviser on Security Retired Major Garba Rabi’u Kamba would brief the gathering on current security situation while the Commissioner for Health Hon. Ja’afar Mohammed Zuru would speak on the new wave of Covid-19 and what action local government chairmen should take to contained it.

Furthermore, the meeting would examine political party issues, especially registration of new APC members and the forthcoming congress of the party.
Among those in attendance, were the Chief of Staff, Government House, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Hassan Shalla Gwandu and Permanent Secretary Alh. Sani Umar Yeldu.
