Bauchi speaker lauds popular islamic scholar Dr. Sani Rijiyan Lemo for promoting islamic knowledge

Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman has lauded renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Sani Umar Rijiyar Lemo for his numerous contributions toward promoting Islamic scholarship and knowledge across the globe.

A statement signed by the Spoke person to the Speaker Abdul Ahmad Bura revealed.

According to the statement, the speaker made the remarks when he received the Islamic Scholar who presented him a complimentary copy of Qur’an with Hausa translation he authored and published, on Thursday.

The Speaker said Sheikh Rijiyar Lemo is a reputable and highly respected Islamic Scholar whose impact and contributions to Islam are legendary.

“I am listener of his preachings especially the Ramadan Tafsir he presents annually in Bauchi. I am sure this Qur’an with Hausa translation he published will help Hausa speaking people across the globe to easily understand and grasp the meaning of verses of the Holy Book. This will be helpful me especially during the Ramadan Tafsir of Malam.

“Shekh Sani Umar is a household name not only in Nigeria but Islamic world. I pray to Almighty Allah to bless him and give him all the rewards He gives to those who do lifetime deeds like this one.” He said.

Presenting the Holy Qur’an to the Speaker, Sheikh Ibrahim Adam Disina who represented the author told the Speaker that although there are some Qur’an with Hausa translation published by late Sheikh Abubakar Gumi and Sheikh Nasiru Kabara, the publication is first of its kind because of inclusion of commentary and indepth analysis in it.

 

Sheikh Disina who was in company of Sheikh Usman Giade and other Islamic scholars, further explained the various contributions Sheikh Sani Umar Rijiyar Lemo is giving toward propagation of Islam which earned him international recognition and awards.

According to him, the Sheikh spent years writing the Holy Book which he later published with contribution of some wealthy Muslims across the Country.

He said the donation of copies to the Speaker and other leaders of the State is meant to give them opportunity to benefit from the scholarly work and appreciate the Sheikh’s contributions.
