Just In: Bauchi governor dissolves LG’s Caretaker Chairmen.

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has dissolved all the caretaker chairmen of the 20 Local government Areas with immediate effect.

The dissolution is coming ahead of the forthcoming Local governments elections scheduled for October this year in the state.

The governor in a statement signed by the Secretary to the state government, Mohammed Sabiu Baba, said the dissolution of the chairmen was to provide level playing ground for all contestants.

Bala Mohammed in the statement, directed the outgoing Chairmen to hand over the affairs of the Local government Areas to heads of administration.

He thanked the chairmen, deputies and all councilors for their selfless service and wished them well in their future endeavors.
