Gov Bala Mohammed Mourns the Passing of Former President Muhammadu Buhari

Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has expressed deep sorrow and profound sense of national loss following the demise of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The condolence Massage was contained in a Statement Signed by the Governor’s media aide Comrade Muktar Gidado, it explained that On behalf of his family, the government, and the entire people of Bauchi State, Governor Mohammed mourns the passing of the former President, who died in London after a protracted illness.

The news of President Buhari’s passing has plunged the nation into mourning, as Nigerians come to terms with the loss of a towering figure whose life was marked by unwavering service, patriotic devotion, and a resolute commitment to the unity, security, and advancement of the country.

Governor Mohammed describes President Buhari as “a patriotic elder statesman, firm in his convictions, calm in demeanor, yet unwavering in his commitment to national unity and good governance.”

He recalls his personal and professional interactions with the late President, acknowledging his efforts in stabilizing Nigeria and promoting democratic values.

President Buhari’s legacy is indelible, characterized by a strong anti-corruption stance, infrastructural renewal, agricultural revolution, and efforts to reposition Nigeria’s economy for growth and self-sufficiency.

The Governor notes that President Buhari’s humble lifestyle and his belief in transparency and accountability serve as enduring examples for leaders at all levels of government. His stoic demeanor and ability to maintain personal discipline, even at the height of political power, are attributes worthy of emulation by current and future generations.

Bauchi State holds a special place in the history and journey of President Buhari, and his memory will remain evergreen in the hearts of the people.

The statement added that The passing of President Buhari is not just a loss to his immediate family or to the people of Katsina State, but a monumental loss to the entire nation and Africa at large.

Governor Mohammed extends his heartfelt condolences to his family, the Government and people of Katsina State, the National Council of State, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and indeed all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
