Bauchi State Government has been commended for prioritizing the development of critical educational infrastructure in the state.
The Emir of Dass, Alh. Usman Bilyaminu Othman, made this remark during the Maiden Bauchi College of Arts and Science (BACAS) 1987-90 Reunion Meeting.
The Emir highlighted the importance of infrastructure to higher educational institutions, reflecting on the quality of education he received during his time at BACAS, which he described as one of the best experiences in his life.
According to him By enhancing the physical and academic environments of schools and colleges, the government aims to provide students with the resources they need to succeed.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Bauchi State Governor, Comrade Muktar Gidado, who is also a member of the BACAS 1987-90 set, elaborated on the government’s investments in education.
He explained that the present administration has invested heavily in the sector, focusing on improving infrastructure, resources, and opportunities for students.
Adding that This investment is part of a broader strategy to enhance the quality of education and make Bauchi State a hub for academic excellence.
Comrade Gidado urged the former students of BACAS to give back to the state, emphasizing the importance of contributing to the development of their alma mater and the broader community.
He encouraged the alumni to leverage their experiences and networks to support current and future students, potentially through mentorship programs, scholarships, or other forms of assistance.
Notably, deserving personalities, including Comrade Muktar Gidado, were awarded Certificates of Excellence for their contributions.
