Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has attended the 25th priestly silver jubilee of the Most Reverend Hilary Nanman Danchalem, the Catholic Bishop of Bauchi Diocese held in Bauchi.

A statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media Lawal Mu’azu revealed.

During the ceremony, Governor Bala emphasized the need for religious tolerance for peaceful coexistence in the society.

The governor attributed the numerous challenges facing the society to religious intolerance and called for mutual understanding among the citizens.

According to the governor, failure of leadership recruitment and bad governance have also contributed to the involvement of youth into various criminal activities.

Governor Bala used the medium to acknowledge the leadership qualities of the Chairman of Northern Governors Forum who is the Governor of Plateau State, Mr Simon Bako Lalong.

The Chairman of Northern Governors Forum Mr Simon Bako Lalong applauded the celebrant for his outstanding contributions towards the societal reorientation.
