Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has appointed three former commissioners as special advisers.
A signed statement by His Media Aide Comrade Muktar Gidado Cited That Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu has been appointed as Special Adviser on Multilateral Coordination and Regional Integration, while Comrade Usman Danturaki will serve as Special Adviser on Labour Matters and Contributory Pension Scheme.
Additionally, Professor Simon Madugu Yalams has been appointed as Special Adviser on Technical and Vocational Education.
These appointments come after the governor dropped five commissioners earlier in the day, citing the need to “strengthen his administration’s service delivery”.
The affected commissioners included Dr. Jamila Dahiru (Education), Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu (Internal Security and Home Affairs), Comrade Usman Danturaki (Information and Communication), Professor Simon Madugu Yalams (Agriculture), and Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza (Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation).
Governor Bala Mohammed had earlier conducted a performance evaluation of his cabinet team in December to assess their productivity.
Governor Mohammed urged them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, transparency, and renewed focus on improving the lives of the people of Bauchi State.
