Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to collaborating with the African Development Bank to sustain water and sanitation projects.
This assurance was given during a meeting with the Bank’s Monitoring and Evaluation Team at the Government House in Bauchi.
Represented by Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, Governor Mohammed highlighted Bauchi State’s position as a leading beneficiary of the Bank’s interventions.
He emphasized the state’s dedication to implementing sustainable mechanisms for the long-term utilization of these projects.
The delegation was led by Engineer Garba Babaji Magaji Programme Coordinator Bauchi State FGN/AfDB Inclusive Basic Service Delivery and Livelihood Empowerment Integrated Programme (IBSDLEIP), acknowledged the positive impact of these initiatives, citing dozens of rural communities benefiting from the projects.
He added that This partnership aligns with the Bauchi State Government’s focus on sustainable development, particularly in areas such as Improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities, Promoting effective leadership and accountable resource management.
Babaji Magaji opined that By strengthening ties with the African Development Bank, Bauchi State aims to ensure the continued success and expansion of these vital initiatives.
