Bauchi State government and China-based Minsheng Group of Shandong Province have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to unlock the state’s vast natural and mineral resources.

The agreement, witnessed by Governor Bala Mohammed and Commissioner of Natural Resources Mohammed Maiwada Bello, paves the way for sustainable mining activities and economic growth in the region.

The partnership aligns with Governor Mohammed’s recent visit to China, focusing on mining and agriculture cooperation.

The state government’s special purpose vehicle will maximize resource utilization, while Minsheng Group commits to sustainable growth and development in Bauchi State.

Speaking after witnessing the Historic Move, Governor Mohammed hailed the partnership as a direct result of his China visit, where a multifaceted twin-sister agreement was forged.

“We’re committed to harnessing our natural resources for the benefit of our people,” he said.

The General Manager of Minsheng Group described the partnership as a new dawn for Bauchi State’s mining sector, driving sustainable growth and development.

Earlier, Commissioner for Natural Resources Mohammed Maiwada Bello appreciated Governor Mohammed’s level playing field and looked forward to reaping benefits from the partnership.

This strategic partnership is expected to boost Bauchi State’s economy through mining activities, create employment opportunities for locals, and enhance resource utilization and infrastructure development.
