Bauchi-Shengdong Province Sister-state Partnership Bears Fruit: Students Awarded Scholarships

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has awarded scholarships to five exceptional students to pursue higher education in China, marking a significant milestone in his administration’s efforts to advance education in the state.

The scholarships are part of the Bauchi-Shengdong province Sister-state partnership, a groundbreaking initiative secured by Governor Mohammed to foster cultural, economic, and educational exchange between Bauchi State and Shengdong province in China.

The recipients, who hail from various local government areas in Bauchi State, will study Clinical Medicine and Computer Science and Technology at prestigious Chinese universities.

The students, who were selected based on their academic excellence, include Yakubu Hussaini, Yohanna Godfrey, Abdullai Abdurrahman Suddis, Yunusa Aisha Ahmed, and Muhammad M. Khalil.

Speaking when he hosted the students at the Government House Bauchi, Governor Mohammed congratulated and encouraged them to represent Bauchi State with dedication and commitment.

He emphasized that the scholarships reflect his administration’s focus on investing in human capital and nurturing future leaders.

In her Remark Dr. Lydia Haruna Tsammanni, the Commissioner of Higher Education and Regional Integration, along with the Bauchi State Scholarship Board, presented the scholarships and commended Governor Mohammed for his steadfast support of education.

On a Thankful Note, One of the parents, Comrade Abdullahi Orlando, commended the Governor on the initiative, saying it’s a testament of good governance, adding that the scholarship program is a clear demonstration of Governor Mohammed’s commitment to the welfare and future of Bauchi state.
