Bauchi State Government has announced the appointment of Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya as the 16th Emir of Ningi, with a 1st Class status.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, made the announcement exercising powers conferred by the laws of Bauchi State, and following the recommendation of the kingmakers.
A statement signed by Governor’s Media Aide, Comrade Muktar Gidado, said the new Emir, born in 1956, is the eldest son of the late Emir and was previously the Chiroman Ningi and He is married with children.
The new Emir’s experience and leadership skills makes him an ideal candidate to take on this important role.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim.
The Bauchi State Government expressed confidence in the new Emir’s ability to continue his late father’s legacy in fostering unity, peace, and development in the Ningi Emirate and Bauchi State as a whole.
The government remains committed to supporting traditional institutions, recognizing their crucial role in maintaining peace and progress in the communities.
Governor Bala Mohammed prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Emir’s soul and extended his warm felicitations and prayers for good health, long life, and a successful reign of the new Emir.
