Bauchi State Government Commits to Good Governance and Infrastructure Development -Gov Bala Muhammad

Bauchi State Government has expressed its readiness to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at rekindling hope for good governance through the provision of critical infrastructure for the nation.

Governor Senator Bala Muhammad stated this when he received a courtesy call from the Ministers of Health and Finance, Professor Ali Pate and Mr. Wale Edun, at the Government House in Bauchi.

Governor Muhammad emphasized that his administration has chosen to invest heavily in critical infrastructure to harness the state’s potential in areas of economic transformation, mining, and tourism.

He commended President Tinubu for prioritizing critical sectors in his Renewed Hope Agenda initiative.

The Governor clarified that his recent comment on the President was not aimed at casting tension or insults on anyone but rather to reaffirm his opinion on the need for good governance.

He highlighted his administration’s efforts in addressing health infrastructure gaps, including the recent approval for the total overhaul of the state Specialist Hospital, in addition to the rehabilitation and construction of healthcare facilities across the state.

Earlier, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, and his Finance counterpart, Dr. Adewale Edun, informed the Governor that they were in Bauchi for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Oncology, Diagnostic, and Catheterization Laboratory Expansion Program. Bauchi is one of the six states selected to benefit from this program, as approved by President Tinubu.

The Minister of Health praised the Bauchi State Government for its commitment to healthcare development, citing the state’s efforts in addressing health infrastructure gaps.

He emphasized the significance of the Oncology, Diagnostic, and Catheterization Laboratory Expansion Program in enhancing healthcare services in the state.
