Heavy Downpour Wreaks Havoc on Kano-Maiduguri Expressway, Governor Bala Muhammad Calls for Federal Intervention.

A heavy downpour has caused a significant damage to the Federal Highway connecting Kano to Maiduguri, specifically at Malori-Guskuri Villages in Katagum Local Government area of Bauchi.

The destruction has rendered the road impassable, forcing motorists to seek alternative routes to reach their destinations.

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad, had visited the affected area to assess the situation and emphasized the importance of the road, which serves as a critical link between the Northwest and Northeast regions of Nigeria.

Governor Bala appealed to the Federal Government to urgently intervene and repair the damaged road to ease transportation of goods and services for the overall benefits of the citizens.

According to him, The urgent intervention by federal government is necessary to prevent carnage on the highway and other hardships.

Bala Muhammad added that his administration would work out apt modalities to maintain some of Federal Government Roads in the state as the Rainy season continues to render danger on them.
