Hundreds welcome Gov Nasir Idris back to Birnin Kebbi

Hundreds of people thronged the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, on Saturday to welcome back Gov Nasir Idris to Birnin Kebbi after performing the 2024 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

It is on record that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has ranked Kebbi State as the best in the conduct of this year’s Hajj operation nationwide.

Comrade, Dr. Nasir Idris, in company of his family and other top Government officials, landed at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi from Abuja Saturday afternoon amidst rousing welcome and goodwill from the crowd of supporters, friends and wellwishers who in turn acknowledged their love and support to him.

The Chairman of the Kebbi State 2024 Hajj Reception Committee, the Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena together with other members were also on the tarmac to receive the amenable Governor.

On arrival, the Kauran Gwandu and entourage drove straight to Makerar Gandu in Birnin Kebbi to offer condolences to the family of late Islamic Scholar, Mallam Mukhtar Abubakar, an elder brother to his wife, Hajiya Zainab Nasare.

Comrade Nasir Idris paid similar visit to Alhaji Abdullahi Umar, Wazirin Gwandu in Nasarawa for the condolence of late Alhaji Mansur Shehu, Dan Galadiman Wazirin Gwandu, Chairman local Government Service Commission who died recently in Abuja.
