Bauchi State Government Partners with Resident Cement Company to Establish $500m Cement Factory.

Bauchi state governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has reiterated his administration’s commitment to boosting the state’s economy through industrial development, with a focus on providing job opportunities to citizens, particularly youth and women.

The Governor made this known while receiving the management of Resident Cement Company Ltd, accompanied by the Honourable Commissioner of Natural Resources, Hon. Mohammed Maiwada Bello, at the Bauchi Government House.

The partnership aims to establish a 10 million tons cement factory in Gwana district, Alkaleri, in collaboration with Sinoma Nigeria Company, a renowned Korean entity.

The project, worth $500 million, is expected to create job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth and contribute to the overall development of the state.

Governor Mohammed expressed appreciation for the initiative and pledged to maximize the state’s resources for economic development.

The Commissioner of Natural Resources, Muhammad Maiwada Bello, emphasized that this collaboration will harness the fortunes of Bauchi state for job creation and overall development.

Dr. Junaid Abbas, Group Chairman of Resident Cement Factory, applauded the Governor’s foresight and dedication to the development of Bauchi State, expressing gratitude for the warm reception.

This partnership is a significant step towards industrialising Bauchi State and diversifying its economy.

The cement factory is expected to be a significant contributor to the state’s GDP and provide employment opportunities for the youth.
