“Believe in God”, Governor Bala tells opposition as he react to appeal court verdict on his favor

Bauchi state Governor Senator Bala Muhammad Abdulqadir has described his victory at the Court of Appeal as a true reflection of the Majority mandate which is a healthy diet for The state democracy.

The governor disclosed this in Abuja while reacting to the outcome of the judgment saying he will commit to more expanded delivery of good governance to the people of Bauchi state.

Bala Muhammad seeks the support and cooperation of all Bauchi state residents irrespective of party affiliation to come together and put the state development interest at the front, especially in achieving the goals of his agenda of “My Bauchi Project”.

The Governor assured that the revalidation of voter’s mandate is a challenge, a call to duty, and a fresh demand for more dividends of democracy therefore urged members of his cabinet to continue to work with zeal and commitment for the benefit of Bauchi state populace.

He added that there was need for all the people of the state to embrace one another in peace and harmony and warned party supporters to avoid wild jubilation as it was banned by Bauchi state police command.

The Governor further said that it is only God Almighty that gives power and non else and Thanked Almighty for giving the victory on his favour.

Recall that in a unanimous judgement at the appeal court, the three-man panel led by Justice Nwaoma Chidi Uwa dismissed the appeal filed by the candidate of All Progressives Congress retired Air Marshal Sadeeq Baba Abubakar challenging the recent ruling of the election petition tribunal.

Retired Air Marshal Sadeeq Baba Abubakar is seeking for nulification the 18 March 2023 Gubernatorial election which saw Governor Bala Mohammed as the winner.

Delivering the judgement, Justice Nwaoma Chidi Uwa ruled that the complainant fails to provide convincing evidence to support his claims that the election was marred by irregularities.
