Kaduna Islamic Scholars Mourns The Death Of Zazzau Prince, Mansur Nuhu Bamalli

Hundreds of mourners and Islamic scholars yesterday gathered at the Emir of Zazzau’s palace in Zaria, Kaduna State, to pray for the demise of Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, Nigerian Ambassador to Morocco, who died at the age of 52.

The envoy, who was a younger brother to the emir, was also the Magajin garin Zazzau, a position exclusively reserved for the Zazzau prince until his demise.

Late Mansur Bamalli died on Friday after a brief illness in a Lagos hospital, leaving behind a wife and two children. He had since been buried according to the Islamic rite.

During the prayers, led by the Chief Imam of Zazzau, Sheikh Dalhatu Kasimu, Islamic clerics from all parts of the emirate prayed to Allah to grant him eternal rest.

Meanwhile, personalities from all walks of life have continued to throng Zaria to console the Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, over the death of his younger brother.

The governors of Kaduna and Katsina states, Senator Uba Sani and Dr Umar Dikko Radda, respectively as well as the House of Representatives Speaker, Tajudeen Abbass, were among the early callers at the emir’s palace.

The 14th Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sunusi ll, deputy governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Muhammadu Sani Dattijo, and Kaduna State police commissioner, CP Musa Garba Yusuf, paid condolence to the emir.
