The Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Mohammed Auwal Jatau on Thursday evening reiterated the readiness of the state government towards providing best healthcare services to the entire citizens of the state.

Auwal Jatau made this known when he received in audience, officials of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency who paid him an advocacy visit in his office, Bauchi.

The Deputy Governor said the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed is working towards modernising healthcare delivery in an effort to make the state to be the best in the entire states of the federation in the area of healthcare delivery for the health benefits of the populace.

He said the state government is determined to provide effective and efficient basic healthcare services to the citizens through promoting policies and programmes in the health sector.

“Let me first express my profound appreciation to you for finding it worthy to visit my office for a courtesy visit, in Bauchi, my principal, His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed is ever ready to work and collaborate with stakeholders like you for the benefit of our people.

“Health sector is my constituency, hence the need for me to support and assist the state government to implement sound healthcare programmes for us to witness remarkable improvement in the sector.”

Auwal Jatau expressed confidence in the ability of the governor to deliver on the promises of improving the healthcare status of the people of the state through adoption of modern approaches in line with international best practices.

The Deputy Governor who called for more partnership between the state government and all the partners in the health sector, applauded the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency for embarking on a training of healthcare personnel in a move to advance the system.

Earlier, the Coordinator of National Emergency and Maternal Child Centre in the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Tafida Mamman acknowledged the commitment of the state government towards ensuring improvement in the healthcare delivery in the state and assured of the readiness of the agency to support such move for a desired result.
