Eid-el-Kabir: Kebbi Governor harps on peaceful coexistence, security

Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris,Kauran Gwandu, has stressed the need for Nigerians to continue to continue to be committed to sustainable peace and unity of the country.

” Peace is really very imperative if we truly want Nigeria to fully develop to be at par with her contemporaries in the comity of nations.

“This is a task by all the citizens irrespective of any religious, political, ethnic or cultural differences,” he charged.

The Governor said these in his message to the people of the State and Nigerians in a message to mark the Eid-el-Kabir festivity.

According to him, Nigeria stand to fully exploit her potentials when the citizens are united and patriotic.

Dr. Idris also urged that Nigeria’s unity should continually be non negotiable and sacrosanct.

The Governor restated his commitment to ensure the security of lives and properties to all the residents of the state.

He added that his administration will leave no stone unturned in synergizing with the security agencies to enable them perform their duties diligently.

Dr Idris also promised to continue to support them with logistics and moral support to be alive to their duties.

According to him, the state government remains committed to providing the social needs of the people, as well as initiating and implementing sound policies and programnes .

‘ We will initiate empowerment programs for all segment of people particularly,the vulnerable, women and youths who have supported us to victory during the election ‘, he assured.

He felicitated the people of the state and Nigerians on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir and urged them to sustain fervent prayers for lasting peace and unity.
