E-education: Al-muhibba Foundation trains 40 Secondary school students on ICT in Bauchi.

In an effort to bridge technological gap among students, a non Governmental organization Al-muhibba foundation has commenced a digital literacy program for 40 students selected from public secondary schools in Bauchi.

The Maiden program which is holding in Bauchi involves joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB computer based test (CBT), Fundamentals of computer operation and key application process, as well as Living online.

Speaking to Martaba FM a student of Government day secondary school Bauchi Auwal Yusuf said before the program students from his school have no practical experience of computer skills.

Another student from Comprehensive day secondary school Bauchi Ahmad Abdullahi urged Bauchi Government to as a matter of urgency provides ICT centers for all secondary school in the state as he linked the poor performance of Bauchi state students in JAMB to lack of ICT experience among them.

Other students interviewed both called on stakeholders involved to expand the training to nook and crannies of Bauchi state as it will enhance students performance in National and international exams.

In his remark Training facilitator Hayatudden Dalladi Kobi said The ICT training has help in promotion of knowledge as the most valuable resource. Represent only a part of the new economic order and the creation of e-society. For Each institution, organization or individual, the acceptance of this new order is a Matter of survival.

He further explain that The initiative is fully aligns with the Call to Action on Quality public digital learning for all students in Bauchi state, specifically with the commitment to “building the capacity of all relevant education personnel so that the power of digital resources can be harnessed to support their learning.

Hayatudden Dalladi Kobi asked students to take skills development training, particularly on ICT, during their free time – to make them better prepared for the digital age.
