Breaking: Zulum dissolves cabinet, advisers, assistants, non-statutory boards

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has terminated the appointments of all political office holders including Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Chairmen and members of non-statutory boards.

Governor Zulum expressed profound gratitude to all the dissolved officials for their sacrifice, hard work and dedication to duty.

The dissolution which aimed at preparing grounds for a fresh start of a second term from May 29, 2023, however excluded the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) as well as Chairmen and members of the statutory commissions, boards and parastatals.

Zulum announced the dissolution on Thursday during a valedictory/extraordinary council meeting which held at the Government House in Maiduguri.

The governor directed all affected officials to hand over affairs to the most senior civil servants in their respective ministries, boards and parastatals.
