The Service Compact SERVICOM has expressed its readiness to mobilize and groom Nigerian youths for the promotion of national unity and sustainable development.

The Servicom Desk officer in Kebbi state Mr. Massarah Dawang Simon disclose this during a lecture organized by SERVICOM to equip the members of the National youth service Corps on how to be self-reliance and also to prepare them for the challenges of leadership held at Dakin Gari Orientation Camp on Monday 1st May 2023.

Mr. Massarah Dawang said the goal missing of SERVICOM is to improve citizens satisfaction by promoting service excellence in public services.

He added that the mandate of the NYSC scheme and it core values which contained in the National Service corps Act 1993 is to promote national unity, patriotism integrity, efficiency, commitment, team work and the development of Nigerian youths into great dynamic economy.

The SERVICOM desk officer said the key client and stakeholders in the NYSC scheme are the corps members, corps producing institutions, federal, state, local government, public and private organisation, foreign missions, contractors among others.

According to him, other Services rendered by the Service Compact SERVICOM is to ensure that disabled persons are assigned to Carry their primary assignment in friendly areas and to ensure that married women are relocated to their husband’s places as well as corps members who put to bed during the NYSC service year are entitled to maternity leave.

Others are to ensure corps members with life-threatening health-related problems are relocated back to where they can access better medical treatment and good attention.
