INT. QURANIC RECITATION COMPETITION: Mas’ud Jibril, A Student of Nurul Tilawah Zaria to Represent Nigeria In Rwanda

A delegation from the Nurut Tilawah International School Zaria, Kaduna State has left the country for Rwanda to represent the nation in Qur’anic Recitation Competition.

The delegation which includes the Director of the school, Sheikh Nuruddeen Umar Tahir left the country via Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos, this Tuesday.

The Qur’anic Competition organized by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Rwanda, will feature different participants from about 50 nations.

The Director of the school, Sheikh Nuruddeen Umar Tahir was also officially invited to serve as one of the special guests at the Qur’anic Recitation Competition.

Report indicated that the representative of Nurut Tilawah International School at the competition, Mas’ud Jibril is expected to compete at the recitation of the complete Qur’an category.

He is also the only student selected to represent the school and the nation as whole.

Rwanda which was in the past rocked by ethnic conflict between Huthi and Tuthi clans is however bracing up to all Islamic activities thereby excelling in religious rituals.

Recall that Nurut Tilawah International School has represented the country in different countries across the globe in various aspects and religious competitions.

The school has also gained special prominancy and prestige while achieving a rare privilege for it’s students to access distance learning at the prestigious Holy mosque of the prophet of Islam in Saudia Arabia.
