Security has been described as one of the key areas that need attention from both the public and government at all levels.
Mr Livinus Ajuji a security consultant at Super Green Security Nigeria Limited remarked while presenting a paper on ” Contemporary Security Challenges in Nigeria and its effect on the Nigerian youth* to the 2023 Batch A Stream II Corps Members in Dakingari Orientation Camp, Kebbi State.
Mr Livinus Ajuji said there is a need for the Federal Government to make efforts in solidifying its borders in other to ensure the security of life and properties of the citizens.
He said investing in the health sector, good governance as well as executing developmental projects will play a vital role in the development of the nation’s security.
The security expert described the challenges affecting the country to include Boko Haram insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, IPOB, Niger Delta militants, and Members of the Islamic West Africa of province ISWAP among others.
According to him, the Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who will be posted in various communities will help in ensuring peace and security of the hosted area.
He, therefore challenged the Corps Members not to engage themselves in any form of behavior that will bring about division or cause confusion during their one-year national service and beyond, which according to him they will serve as the ambassadors of peace.
During the event, a lot of questions and answers have been rise by some corps members regarding security issues.
