2023 World Day for Safety and Health at Work: NSITF urges to prioritize safety of staff.

Employer of labour have been called upon to provide condusive working environment for their staff to guarantee their safety at work places.

The Bauchi State branch manager of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Abdullahi Magaji stated this during sensitization rally at Wunti market, Bauchi central market on the occasion of this year’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2023.

Abdullahi Magaji said the day is set aside by the International Labour Organization (ILO) to sensitized the employer of labour on the need to provide and health at work places for their staff.

The NSITF Bauchi branch manager pointed out that the ILO set aside 28th April of every year as a day to highlight the importance of safety, health and welfare of people in any occupation.

“we are calling on employer of labour to register their staff, when you registered with NSITF in case of any accident we will take care of you”.

The International Labour Organization from the 19th century concern mainly with the occupational health and safety of working class, is a goal to provide a safety and healthy occupational environment.
