A political pressure group, ‘Amalgamation of the North East Youths Support for Wase for NASS Speakership 2023’ has expressed confidence with the endorsement of all House of Representatives members-elect from zone for the green chamber plum seat for Ahmed Idris Wase comes June this year.

The North East Chairman of the Amalgamation, Comrade Sa’adu Mato Babakarami Bauchi while speaking with Journalists yesterday in Bauchi, noted that the support being canvassed from reps-elect from the geo-political zone would culminate to Wase to be the 10th NASS speaker when the House reconvenes for the next session.

He described representative Ahmed Idris Wase, currently the NASS deputy speaker as a long-serving, experienced and capable of providing a just, equitable, humane and fair leadership to the green chamber of the NASS if elected by members.

Comrade Sa’adu Bauchi therefore called on all reps member-elect both the new and returning across the 36 states of the federation and FCT to rally round Wase for enduring and durable leadership of the House.

“Rep. Maje Wase as the current deputy speaker is a versatile politician, well-versed in legislative duties who has acquaintance with each and every member of the House in the preceding years, as well as a handsome representative being cherished by all his colleagues.”

Comrade Sa’adu explained that the group’s speakership advocacy would round up with a rally at APC national Secretariat in Abuja and premises of the House of Representatives where Maje Wase would be honoured preparatory to his ascension as the 10th NASS speaker.
