Bauchi Speaker Empowers 3000 Women In Ningi, Urges Them To Massively Vote for PDP

As part of his continued effort to support and enhance the lives of his constituents, Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman has empowered 3000 women in Ningi Central Constituency.

Speaking during the flagg off of the Programme tagged “Women Support & Awareness Creation on Family Hygiene” which was supported by his friends and partners in Nigeria and diaspora and his wife Hajiya Hauwa Muhammad, which took place in Ningi today, the Speaker said that he has been consistent in giving women priority because of their central role in the society.

The Speaker who recounted many women empowerment programmes he initiated in the past three years, said that today’s empowerment is meant to empower women in order to ensure that maximum social benefits & equality are further extended to them.

He urged women and all people of his Constituency to come out early on 11th March to massively vote for Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad and himself so that more dividends of democracy will be witnessed in Ningi and all parts of the State

Speaker Abubakar Y Suleiman stated that Bauchi State has never gotten a progressive Governor like Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad hence the serious need for people to come out en masse to reelect him, saying this is the payback that the Governor deserves from the citizens of the State.

He reemphasize on the Governor’s love and good plans for Ningi Local Government in the second term, which he said the people of Ningi will not afford to lose the great opportunities that PDP’s second term holds for them, thus they will do everything possible to ensure PDP wins without fear.

While urging people of the Constituency to embrace peace throughout the electioneering period, however warned the opposition not to take PDP’s peace loving disposition as a weakness because they won’t tolerate any provocation.

In her remarks, the team leader of the Speaker’s Friends and Partners in Nigeria and Diaspora who is also the Chief Executive Officer of O & Z Consults, a Canadian based firm, Abi Goodman explained that they decided to support the Speaker because of his passion and genuine love for women’s empowerment awareness.

She urges the beneficiaries to make good use of the empowerment kits given to them and support the Speaker’s reelection bid so that more dividends of democracy will come their way.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman Caretaker Committee of Ningi Local Government Alhaji Ibrahim Zubairu commended the Speaker for his zeal and commitment to enhance the living condition of his constituents especially the women folk.

The Chairman said that he cannot recall the number of empowerment programmes initiated by the Governor, the First Lady, the Speaker and various political office holders of PDP extraction in Ningi Local Government, hence the need for all people to vote for PDP candidates in the forthcoming governorship and state assembly election.

In their separate remarks, former executive Chairman of Ningi Local Government Area Alhaji Mamuda Hassan Tabla, member of Bauchi State House Assembly Hon. Abba Saleh Balma and PDP Women Leader Hajiya Adama expressed their appreciation to the Speaker, his wife and partners for the great gesture to women folk in the Local Government.

They boasted that no political party can match up with PDP’s record in Ningi Local Government and the State in general, as such, PDP will defeat all political parties on Saturday.

Some of the items distributed include foodstuff and clothes kits.
