Vigilante Group Arrests 21 Suspected Hoodlums in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency has arrested twenty one suspected hoodlums terrorizing customers and commuters at Wunti Market in the State Capital.

The State Commandant General of the Agency Umar Aliyu Shayi made this known while parading the suspects in Bauchi.

Umar Aliyu Shayi explained that the suspected hoodlums whom were initially denied access to Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, the venue of PDP Presidential Rally took advantage of the market to carryout the criminal acts on innocent people.

According to him the youth were carrying Knifes, Machetes and other dangerous weapons.

The Commandant General therefore said they would be handed over to Police and Civil Defense Corps for further investigations and subsequent prosecution.

He assured of the agency’s determination to complement efforts of conventional security agencies towards reducing the number crime and criminality across the state.
