The Emir of Zuru, retired Maj.-Gen. Muhammad Sani Sami, Gomo II has commended the ruling APC for running violence – free and issues – based campaigns in the build up to the forthcoming general elections.

The renowned traditional ruler spoke in his Palace in Zuru when he received the party’s governoship candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu and the APC campaign team on a courtesy call.

“I must say that I am elated with the way and manner APC is conducting its ongoing campaigns peacefully and devoid of any campaign of calumny.

“The party is also focussing only on issues and not trivialities. This noble trajectory should be sustained.

“It is undeniable that I am 100 per cent for Buhari and Governor Atiku and by extension, all candidates of the party at all levels,”he added.

According to the Emir, himself and Kauran Gwandu have been the best of friends and close confidants for long.

He said:”This is surely payback time for our long standing bond and we will work to ensure their success from top to bottom.

“These door-to-door mobilisation and campaigns by APC will in sha Allahu pay up.

“We will sustain our fervent prayers and prevail on our people to be peaceful and law abiding, “Sami added.

The Kauran Gwandu had earlier said that his visit to the Palace was a home coming, saying, “we are here as usual for your royal and potent fatherly prayers.

“The Emir is an ardent speaker of the hard and bitter truths always and we cherish him for this uncommon character.

“No fewer than 90 per cent of all those who matter in the state are in the APC and we will never fail the people, if elected.

“We will consolidate on the lofty achievements of Gov. Bagudu and even surpass them so as to move the state forward,” Idris added.

At the the palace of the district Head of Manga, Professor Sahabi Sule , the APC campaign team led by the DG campaign Council Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari and the APC gubernatorial candidate Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu condoled with the people of the district over the death of retired Col. Muhammadu Manga and also congratulated him on his appointment as the Chief of Manga.

Kauran Gwandu prayed Allah to forgive the late Manga and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

He expressed satisfaction with the peaceful coexistence amongst the people of the district, while appealing for votes to all APC candidates.

The APC gubernatorial candidate promised that if elected, he would improve security in the area and initiate empowerment programs to better the lives of people.

Responding, the District of Manga, Professor Sahabi Sule thanked the APC team for the visit and pledged the support of his people and requested for renovation of roads and rehabilitation of the existing classrooms of the school in the area.

The APC campaign team proceeded to the campaign venue in Zuru town where thousands of party supporters gathered to show support for the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu and all the APC candidates.

Highlights of the event included the presentation of 41 vehicles donated by Hon. Kabiru Ibrahim Tukura , House of Representatives member representing Zuru/Fakai/Danko Wasagu/ Sakaba Federal Constituency to politicians, traditional leaders, religious groups and political groups in the area.

The State APC Chairman Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru also presented 3,535 decampees who dumped PDP and joined the ruling APC in Zuru.

They attributed their defection to the poor leadership in PDP amd the honesty of Gov. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and their love for Kaura Gwandu, Dr. Nasir Idris, APC gubernatorial candidate.

Kebbi State APC governorship candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, in his address to hundreds of APC supporters in Zuru again passionately appealed to the people of the state to massively vote for APC candidates at all levels during the forthcoming general elections.

“I am therefore calling on the people of the state to once again repose tremendous confidence in. APC and they will never regret doing so.

“Please it should be APC Sak from top to bottom, from Tinubu, myself and other candidates of the party across the state,”the Kauran Gwandu urged.

Idris said that Zuru Emirate was critical and indispensable to the politics of Kebbi State and Nigeria.

He added that all the eminent and distinguished citizens of the state were in the APC across the four Emirates in the state.

Kauran Gwandu, while commending the people of the emirate for their sustained show of love and support, urged them not to relent.

He urged,”this should be replicated on the elections days by coming out en masse and casting your votes for APC candidates from top to bottom.

“Happily, we have just received a retinue of defectors into the party and they will henceforth be treated justly and equally like other older members of the party.”

While averring that there was no option rather than APC, the Kauran Gwandu promised to reel out myriad of dividends of democracy, if elected.

“I will consolidate on the colossal achievements of our DG, campaign council, Alhaji Sa’idu Nasamu Dakingari and the incumbent Governor, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

“We will initiate more policies and programmes, empowerment and welfare schemes to bolster agriculture, trade and commerce, along other critical sectors of the economy, ‘ he said.
