Bagudu, Malami storm Warrah, canvass for votes for Tinubu, Kaura, others

Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON and Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami, SAN, on Saturday led a multitude of APC supporters to Warrah, Ngaski Local Government Area of the State where they canvassed for votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.

The duo, alongside a retinue of other speakers also urged the people of the state to come out en masse on the election dates and cast their votes for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu, his running mate, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida and other APC candidates.

Bagudu while speaking could not hide his joy with the tumultuous crowd who surged to witness the rally that would herald the victory of all APC candidates from top to bottom.

According to the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, the APC-led Federal and Kebbi State Government as well as other elected and appointed leaders had done well to bolster the socio-economic development of the area and the state in general.

Bagudu further said the election of Tinubu, Kauran Gwandu and other candidates was the only key to more dividends of democracy in the area, Kebbi State and Nigeria.

‘ I am here to appreciate the warm reception accorded us like a similar one not long ago in Yauri and Shanga.

‘ APC is geared towards making your lives better , vote for all APC candidates ‘, he averred.

He cited the various Infrastructure development and the springing up of mega industries and rice mills across the state as glaring examples.

He said among others , the incumbent government has empowered farmers fisher men, youth and women groups and that Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu would even surpass what he did.

Bagudu informed the people that President Muhammadu Buhari was appreciative of their sustained support to his administration and the state government.

“Buhari, while greeting you, he has urged you not to allow yourselves to be deceived by some deluded politicians and massively vote for APC all through.

“APC for instance has a tested and trusted accomplished technocrat and an Iconic labour leader as its gubernatorial candidate just like other APC flag bearers at all levels, “the Kebbi State Governor added .

The Director-General of the APC gubernatorial campaign council, Ahaji Sa’idu Dakingari urged the people of the area to vote for Kauran Gwandu as the next governor of Kebbi State and all APC candidates at all levels.

The State APC Gubernatorial candidate Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu expressed delight over the show of love and warm reception accorded to them in Warrah.

He promised to sustain and even improve on the records of achievement recorded by the former Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, DG campaign and the incumbent Governor of the State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

He thanked the Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, SAN Senator Bala Ibn Na-Allah , Hon Tanko Yusuf Sununu for doing their best to improve the living standard of people through their projects and empowerment.

The APC flag bear appealed to the people to get their PVCs and cast their votes for all APC candidates from top to bottom .

According to him, the party has people of proven integrity to manage the affairs of the state and county in general.

Also speaking, Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami, SAN, recalled that the area was neglected during the 16 years that the PDP held sway in the country.

“That sorry story happily changed in the seven years of APC at the centre and in Kebbi State with several invaluable infrastructure development recorded, including the completion of the Sokoto to Kontagora road, among others, ” Malami said.

He said the PDP in their 16 years of power has nothing to show to even match the record of performance of the ruling APC in 7 years.

He cited the Yauri sub station which provided electricity to the Emirate, the ongoing establishment of military base , HYPADEC, Social intervention Programme such as the N-Power and Agricultural development, among others.

The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Baballe Umar Yaurii also corroborated the submissions of Malami, urging the people of the area to reciprocate the gestures by casting their votes to Kauran Gwandu and all APC candidates.

He explained that the incumbent administration of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has performed well in Ngaski , he cited the establishment of a private Tomato company and the ongoing construction of a military base to bolster security were all facilitated by the Governor.

Other developmental projects and programmes he mentioned include education where 540 facilitators under Better Education Service Delivery for All were engaged and paid N60,000 each for a period of nine months.

Also, 37 schools provided with N200,000 each for maintenance and construction of toilets,120 Islamic schools given N5000 each, renovation of schools in Warrah and Libata, among others.

The State House of Assembly member representing the area, Hon. Muhammad Adamu Birnin Yauri , House of Representatives member representing Yauri/Shanga/ Ngaski Federal Constituency, Hon. Tanko Sununu Yusuf and Senator Bala Ibn Na-Allah representing Kebbi South Senatorial Zone enumerated several projects carried out by the APC- led administration under their watch .

They cited construction and renovation of schools, hospitals, healthcare delivery , provision of water and youth empowerment, among others as some of the development recorded in the area.

The State House of Assembly member representing the area, Hon. Muhammad Adamu Birnin Yauri said in all the wards of the Local Government, he has carried out projects and was thankful to the Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for donating N15 million naira to the flood victims in the area.

The APC women leader in the State, Hajiya Aishatu Gunabi was thankful to Governor Abubakar Atiku for his support to women.

She said the APC under Bagudu has empowered women through ‘Bagudu Gatan Kowa’ and the ongoing Nigeria for Women Project in the 21 LGAs where 18,000 Women have already started benefitting from financial grants to boost their businesses.

She also said voting for Kauran Gwandu as the next Governor of Kebbi State would be good for the future of education of their children in the state because of his record as a former teacher and NUT President.

Earlier, Alhaji Abubakar Gari Malam, Alhaji Mansur Mamser, former party Chairman and Alhaji Sani Hukuma Zauro, Chairman APC Elders Forum, thanked people of Ngaski particularly APC supporters in Warrah for coming out in their large numbers to attend the APC campaign rally.

They urged people to continue to be loyal to government so as to continue to enjoy dividends of democracy.

According to them the duo of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON Kebbi State Governor and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami,SAN were blessings to Kebbi State.

APC Zonal Vice Chairman, Kebbi South, Alhaji Garba Bakanike in his welcome address assured all APC candidates particularly the gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu that people in the area would vote for them.

At the event, women groups who benefited from Nigeria for Women Project came out to thank Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and appreciate the APC- led administration for the empowerment support to women.

Governor Bagudu, accompanied by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN made a stop over at GB Foods Tomato company in Gafara, Ngaski.

The Minister appreciated the efforts of the Governor for providing conducive atmosphere for investors in the state, saying that such a move would sustain socio economic development of Kebbi State.

The APC campaign team including the governor, accompanied by the Minister, the gubernatorial candidate, DG campaign and all the candidates paid courtesy visits to the District Head of Warrah, Alhaji Abdulmalik Nuhu, Warra
and that of Birnin Yauri , Alhaji Maniru Sulaiman before heading to Yauri.
