Emir Bayero Extol Legacies of Renown Scholar Imam – Al Maghili.

The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero CFR, CNOL has extolled the legacies of late Imam Al-Maghili,.

Almaghili a renowned religious icon and scholar contributed immensely to the establishment of the Emirate system in Kano based on Islamic principles in the 15th century during the reign of Muhammadu Rumfa.

Emir Bayero said Al- Maghili hailed from Algeria but had a shirt stint in Kano for about five years.

In his speech during the opening ceremony of a two day International Event in Algiers the capital of Algeria, the Emir congratulated the Algerian people and leaders for finding it worthy celebrating the times and life of the religious icon -Imam Muhammad AbdelKarim Al- Maghili.

It is part of the activities organised in commemoration of the 60th anniversary Independence of the strategic North African country.

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero enumerated some of the remarkable contributions the late legend left behind, in Kano, which are still surviving .

He also called on scholars to deepen their research on the scholarly works of Imam Sheikh Al-Maghili which will be of enormous benefit to the Muslim Umma.

The conference attracted participants from many countries which included Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Chad, Indonesia, Cameroon, Mali, Ghana, Pakistan and Niger Republic.

Among Emir of Kano’s entourage are Alh. Ahmed Ado Bayero, Sarkin Dawkin Tsakar-Gida and District Head of Kumbotso, Amb. Ahmed Umar, OON, Dan Malikin Kano, Mal. Magaji Galadima, Kachallan Kano and Mal. Isa Bayero, Special Assistant to His Highness and other aides.
