2023: G-5 Governors vows to support Bauchi Governor’s reelection bid

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state alongside Governors of Abia, Benue and Enugu states under auspices of their G-5 group, on Wednesday declared their total support to the reelection bid of their colleagues in Bauchi, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed in the next year’s governorship election in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the G-5 governors when they visited the Bauchi governor at Ramat House, Bauchi, Governor Wike said members of the G-5 group will support the Bauchi governor to succeed in his reelection bid in 2023 general election.

Governor Wike further said whatever affects Governor Bala Mohammed also affects members of the group, hence their resolve to reach out to him with support and advices that will assist him to overcome challenges in his second term bid.

“We came to solidarize with our friend, the Governor of Bauchi State, I know he is seeking for reelection and what we are doing is to fraternize and solidarise with our colleague .This visit will afford us the opportunity to discuss with him on area of advice. His Excellency, Governor Bala has done a lot in Bauchi State and I know Bauchi people will vote for him again in 2023.”

On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed gratitude to the PDP governors for the visit, whom he said it is a great honor and expressed optimism that their visit will assist him to tackle some issues identified in his reelection bid.

“Today I am very happy to receive my friends, members of G-5 team, I am highly connected with each of them, they are my Colleagues and I must thank them for this very impotent fraternal visit .

The G-5 governors that visited Governor Bala Mohammed in Bauchi are Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu of Abia State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and Samuel Ortom of Benue State.
