2022 ACCOUNTANTS DAY: Stakeholders stresses the need for professional training of members

Training and retraining of professional Accountants in Nigeria has been advocated to enhance service delivery.

Dr. Muhammad Sani Uwais who made the call while speaking at the International Accountants day celebration organized by the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) Zaria division held at the NITT Zaria.

He said, Accounting is a profession that needs to be observed and follow professionally.

Dr. Sani Uwais who is the Chairman of Committee of Bursar’s of Federal Colleges of Education of Nigeria said, training and retraining will definitely refreshed their mind in discharging their duty.

Uwais who is the Garkuwan Kudun Zazzau advised the leadership of the association to maintain the Lecture series on quarterly instead of annual event.

While calling on members to ensured they join the globa world by digitalization of their profession.

The guest lecturer Dr.Muhammad Mustapha Bagudo of the department of Accounting Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, charged ANAN to digitized their professional activities as the world goes digital.

Bagudo also lamented on the continuous working under old system of Accounting instead of going digital at the internet facilities have changed the whole system.globally.

He called for a change in both teaching and practicing from old system to the new generation system.

In her remarks, the Zaria division of ANAN Madam Naomi David expressed appreciation for the support and cooperation by the members in ensuring the success of the programme.

She said, the Lecture is organized in order to brighten their knowledge on the reporting Accounting that will be as international Accounting system.
