Governor Bala launches KEEP in Bauchi, empowers Women, Youth

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has launched the Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP) in Bauchi local government area of the state where hundreds of women, youth and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were empowered with a view to alleviating poverty and dispensing dividends of democracy to the citizens of Bauchi state.

Speaking, Mohammed said the Kaura Empowerment will continue to commemorate his administration’s commitment to fighting indolence for the economic development of Bauchi state, hence the need for the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by making good use of the items distributed.

While commending the stakeholders of the Party for the support, Governor Mohammed pledged to continue to provide citizens with dividends of democracy through empowerment, executing developmental projects and human development.

He added that his administration has succeeded in many areas of infrastructure, saying more will be executed for the growth development of Bauchi State.

In their separate remarks, the State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed and the Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Bauchi State chapter, Hamza Koshe Akuyam commended the leadership style of the governor, with a call on beneficiaries to ensure items distributed are utilized properly.

The cash of one hundred and eighty five million naira, cars, motorcycles and grinding machines were among other items distributed during the exercise.
