NBTE prioritizes skills acquisition as an aspect of Technology

The Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) Professor Idris Bugaje has said, skills acquisition is the most important aspect of technology which the Board is emphasizing.

He stated this at the Innovation Expo 2022 organized by the Directorate of Technology Incubation, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria.

Represented by Deputy Director, Curriculum Development NBTE Mr. Bala Danladi Akut said, the Board is Keen in seen institutions are very innovative and creative using the home grown technologies.

Professor Bugaje said National skills development should be given priority in all the Directorate as skills is becoming national currency.

The Executive Secretary, emphasized that all Polytechnics must have a skills acquisition centres.

In his address, the Rector Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria Engr. Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi said, the significant of the exhibition is to have Collaboratiion with investors to put head together with the Directorate.

Engr. Abdullahi added that, the Polytechnic is showcasing it’s innovation to the general public.

According to him, there is quite a number of facilities which the students produced with the help of their dedicated Lecturers.

He said, Polytechnic Education is a key to creativity not a paper work as research is a continuous process since there is no failure in research
