The Pastor, Haske Baptist Church, Yola, Adamawa State, Reverend Daniel Kankum has called on electorate to know whom to cast their vote for, at the 2023 general elections.

He gave the charge while interacting with our reporter, Rayyanu Abubakar Umar in his office after the commencement of political campaigns by political parties across the country.

Reverend Kankum said with the lifting of ban by INEC on political campaigns, politicians can go all out to seek for mandate from the voters, calling on the electorate to examine politicians with a view to assess their qualities for electing good larders.

He said though the Lord has already chosen right candidates for the people, they should play politics without bitterness.

On the role of the youths towards electing right persons to serve, the cleric said that the youths should not allow themselves to be used for political thuggery, and shun violence in whatever form for they are the leaders of tomorrow.

Speaking on the role of the parents to monitor their wards, the cleric said parents should checkmate their children, in order for them not to fall into bad hands as well as engage in nefarious activities especially during the period of politicking.

On the economic challenges we are facing, the cleric said Nigerians should fear God in their dealings as well as show patriotism.

Reverend Kankum appealed to those working in the media industries to stick to the ethics of the profession to disseminate factual information that may bring peace in the nation and the state at large.

The cleric called on the members of the public, to verify information before they should work on it.
