EMPLOYMENT: FG trains youth on Animation and graphics design in North East

About 2,000 Nigerian byouth drawn from different parts of the country have so far benefited from the ongoing Digital Youth Nigeria Program, organized by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

This was disclosed by the supervisor of the training from the Ministry Mal. Adamu Usman Kaina during the closing ceremony for 50 participants from the North East helf at El Lawanti ICT center in Gombe State.

Adamu Usman Kaina said the purpose of organizing the training on Animation and Graphics is as a result of the gap in technology advancement among the youth in the country.

He added that the Ministry of Youth and sport development under the Leadership of Hon. Sunday Dare find it necessary to fill this gap among Nigeria Youth so that they will go along side with their other counterpart across the world.

“Globally today business are going more digitally you can at the comfort of your home market your product, by organizing this training it can help Youth to acquire the skills that they can promote their business digitally.

According to Kaina he is impressed by the level of cooperation given by the participants through out the period of the training.

He said by the empowerment pack that was given to the participants they should make good use of it to improve their businesses and to take the knowledge down to others within the community they find them self.

“By doing that the knowledge will keep rolling and cover a vast number of young people who can engage in ICT especially in promoting their business digitally”.

He therefore changed the beneficiaries to use the knowledge they acquired during the training to be self reliant.

Usman Kaina commended the Ministry for organizing the training which will go along way in bringing out the best in the youth especially on digital marketing and advertising.

On his part, Effiong Godswill, the Facilitator of the training said the participants have been very cooperative and understanding through out the period of the training.

He commended the Ministry of Youth and Sport development for coming up with the training and most especially the empowerment pack given to the participants that will help them to keep practicing what they have learned and develop skills that can turn into source of revenue.

Some of the beneficiaries Muhammad Khamis Safiyan From Bauchi State and Abdullahi Muhammad from Adamawa State Assured the ministry they will use the knowledge acquired at the training judiciously and thanked them for the golden opportunity.

Certificate, HP and Dell laptop computers were among what was given to the 50 participants of the Program at the end of the training which was started on 26 July and end on 03 September 2021.

Mal. Adamu Usman Kaina noted that the training was not for northeast alone but for all the six geo political Zones in the country, where youth were train in different aspects that Includes Software and cording, Animation and Graphics design, Business processes outsourcing and internet of things that about 2,000 youth benefits from it.
